Mitchell came to know Jesus as his Savior and Lord during the summer before his Junior year in high school. He placed his faith fully on Christ after his early years of nominal Christianity. It was at summer camp and through God’s word where Mitchell realized that sin touched every part of his life, that salvation was fully the work of Christ, and that faith was more than an intellectual agreement with facts, but a complete surrendering of ones self to him. “You are not
your own, (20) for you were bought with a price” (1 Cor. 6:19-20).

At this same summer camp, he met his future wife, unbeknownst to either of them. Years after summer camp in Michigan, they would re-meet in Spokane, WA. After graduating high school in 2012, Mitchell began a 5 year journey graduating from the Moody Bible Institute. He studied for 3 semesters in Chicago, studied abroad for 3 months in Israel, then transferred to Moody's extension campus in Spokane to finish. He and his wife Jessica were married in 2016, and he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors degree, with an emphasis in Youth Ministry.

Mitchell and Jessica moved from Spokane to Sandpoint just a few weeks after graduation to start part time as a youth ministry intern at First Baptist Church. It’s now 2021 and they have 3 beautiful daughters Lakely, Emmy, and Arbor. Mitchell feels blessed to continue serving with and among the body of believers in Sandpoint, and longs to see young people hear the gospel and be transformed by faith in Jesus. Mitchell likes sports, and games, and spending time with people. He finds joy in fixing things that are broken, and helping other people with projects.
Above all Mitchell wants to follow Christ with sincerity, lead his family well, and build up the body of Christ.
